Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Tunisia Agri Insurance Survey. In Tunisia, a diagnostic and scoping project has been established to explore the feasibility of agricultural insurance for smallholder farmers and MSMEs. Based on the climatic and other risks identified during the diagnostic, the project will also propose insurance solutions that would strengthen the resilience of the farmers and MSMEs, while improving their access to finance. The IFC seeks to recruit a survey firm (Firm) to conduct a survey of smallholder farmers, agri-MSMEs, and local aggregators within pre-identified priority sectors and collect information required to identify their key risks, current coping mechanisms, potential insurance solutions, and their insurance appetite. The three pre-identified priority crops from which smallholder farmers and agri-MSMEs samples will be drawn are: dates, olives, and wheat. The total number of smallholder farms and other MSMEs within the aforementioned priority crops is about 215,000, making up about 75% of the countrys total.
