Description:
The SNCFTproject aims to strengthen cybersecurity, optimize telecom infrastructure, andmonetize surplus fiber optic capacity while ensuring railway safety. It willassess network security, identify vulnerabilities, and propose improvementswith a cost-benefit analysis. The project will also map existing IT and fibersystems, including railway signaling, ticketing, and GSM-R, to understand risksand integration needs. A key focus is exploring ways to generate revenue from unusedfiber optic pairs while managing cybersecurity risks. The project will evaluatepotential services, such as data centers, and analyze their feasibility. Deliverablesinclude an inception report detailing the methodology, a cybersecuritydiagnostic identifying gaps and risks, and a strategic roadmap outliningsecurity measures, investment needs, and monetization strategies. The projectrequires cybersecurity experts, specialists in fiber optic and telecomnetworks, and IT security professionals. It will propose a phased securityupgrade plan, define KPIs, and ensure critical railway operations remainprotected during implementation.
