- The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has launched a new Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the provision of “Selection and chartering of commercial trawl fishing vessels, exploiting European hake along Tunisian coast (GSA 12-13), for a study on the selectivity of fisheries”.The main goal of this tender is the selection of three (3) commercial fishing vessels, as similar as possible to each other, capable to implement a survey along Tunisian coasts (GSA 12-13) testing selectivity devices for the reduction of the catch of juveniles- hake (M. merluccius). The activities have been presented in a project endorsed by the twenty-third session of the Scientific Advisory Committee on Fisheries (SAC, Annex 8).
